I just really enjoy this photo because I think the colors are absolutely beautiful and the photo has such an interesting subject. It’s not everyday one gets to visit the ice caves of Alaska.

The photographer takes advantage of the natural contrast provided by the scenery. I enjoy the photo because I like the idea of something so fragile, white and “pure” looking, being unharmed and undisturbed among the chaotic, dark and seemingly dangerous landscape that surrounds it.

This photo demonstrates so much power and grasps the severity of the situation with the intensity of the shadows created by the smoke clouds that billow up and out. The photographer did a good job of balancing the photo, having a near perfect sky on the left and the intense smoke, ash and other debris filling the right side of the frame.

I think the video does a good job representing the quirkiness of the artist himself and the genre of music he’s in. Personally I found the video to be completely unrelated to the lyrics though and it made it annoying to watch. I looked for different types of symbolism in the painting as it progresses and as it melts away from the female in the video. All in all, I did not enjoy the video.

I like this photo because it allows a glimpse into a normally undisturbed area, or so it appears to be. As a viewer, the colors and the lighting used in the photo give me a real sense of what it would be like to be standing there taking the photo. I can see and feel the warmth of the photo based off the vibrant greens and the sun streaks across the subject. It’s absolutely breathtaking.

I think the subject of this photo is fascinating. I think the paint splatters just cause the viewer to feel the excitement of the room and the blurred motion of the throwers foot indicating there’s more to the store that we won’t know all add the the excitement of the photo.
